The good food at Good Earth is made from wholesome and hearty ingredients. Freshly baked scones and muffins, hearty soups, unique sandwiches, delicious salads and Good Earth’s popular Mac-n-Cheese (the Queen of Comfort Food) are all made fresh in Good Earth’s kitchens every day. Good Earth’s Granola, refreshing smoothies and frappes round out the menu.

The full espresso menu uses locally roasted coffee beans for the freshest coffee possible. (Fresher coffee is simply better tasting coffee.) Our coffee is selected for exceptional taste, environmental sustainability, and direct and ethical trade. Our coffees include those that are 100% Organic and Shade Grown, Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance certified.

Good Earth’s diverse locations express our commitment to communities. Good Earth’s original location is in a friendly urban neighborhood, where many customers walk to the café. Cafes can also be found in shopping centres, near bike pathways and parks, inside hospitals and health centres, and in office towers and universities.

Our Vision and Passion

At Good Earth our Vision inspires our daily life.  We believe our lives (yours and ours) are enriched by the authentic coffeehouse experience we create together.

We conduct our business to build relationships with our customers, our suppliers, and our communities. We believe that a business must be an active participant in its community in many ways, from buying locally to support other businesses, working with local non-profit organizations’ to support their efforts to improve our community, to responding to our customers’ needs on an individual basis. This philosophy guides our day-to-day decisions and interactions.

We take great pride in the relationships we have established with our customers. We have seen romances blossom, engagements announced, families grow, business deals solidified, and social circles expanded in our cafes.

We seek out and create strong working relationships with local suppliers. These relationships have meant growth for other entrepreneurs as our company has grown. We believe a strong community of businesses can help build a stronger community in general.

We are active in creating a better community for all. In our company’s guiding principles we express our intention of acting in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. We believe everyone has a role to play in creating a better community for all. Good Earth’s Community Giving Program fully supports our values and philosophy.  We strive for success in our business by cultivating relationships with our customers and our communities.  We believe in the intelligence and curiosity of our customers, and challenge them to join us in becoming more engaged in our communities.

The goals of our Community Giving Program include:

• Supporting like-minded organizations in their efforts to improve our communities
• Cultivating positive relationships throughout our communities
• Upholding our corporate values and philosophy
• Creating opportunities for our staff to become involved in community organizations

Organizations We Support

Our goal is to offer support to like-minded organizations, in three key areas.  Organizations we support include those whose efforts focus on:

1)  raising awareness of and calling for action on environmental issues, be they local, regional, national, or global issues;

2)  raising awareness of and calling for action on humanitarian issues, be they local, regional, national, or global issues; and

3)  supporting the well-being of people in our community, with particular interest in children and families.

Less Waste

We choose as little packaging as necessary for Good Earth products.  We look for recycled content, recyclability, and minimizing impact.  You can help reduce this further by bringing your own travel mug for coffee and tote bag for purchases.

·        Our Cup Sleeves are 100% recycled content.

·        Our Coffee Cups are un-printed, to reduce resource consumption and pollution.

·        Many of our paper goods are made with unbleached, recyclable papers.

Better Quality

We strive to use whole foods, whole grains, and organic ingredients in our products. Our exceptional coffee is 100% Organic, Shade Grown to protect biodiversity and Fair Trade.

Added Value

Bring your own travel mug.   We will fill it with your favorite coffee or espresso drink for the price of a small.
